Conflict Prevention: Management Workshops
21st Century Conflict Management for Supervisors and Managers
This one day interactive workshop discusses where and when conflicts
arise at work, what the conflicts are about, and practical methods for
dealing with emerging dysfunctional conflict. The emphasis will be on
skills development, including active listening, using non-violent communication,
eliciting and verifying interests, creative option development and negotiating
or helping others negotiate solutions.
Participants learn:
- practical methods preventing and resolving conflict
- how to help employees develop resolution skills
- when and how to intervene to prevent escalation
- how to discover and verify interests
- how to negotiate or help employees negotiate
- when and how to use available resources for conflict management and
resolution
